Springbourne’s Head of Communications Rob Beasley is making headlines of his own after his best-selling book on Jose Mourinho went on sale in China.

Rob’s highly acclaimed book, Jose Mourinho Up Close and Personal, has been a roaring success and is now available worldwide in 12 different versions and nine different languages.

He worked alongside Mourinho for 12 years while working as Chief Sports Correspondent at The Sun, charting the Special One’s amazing successes at Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid.

The book was first published in 2016 but has been regularly updated as Mourinho moved from Chelsea to Manchester United, onto Tottenham and the controversial manager is now in charge at top Italian side Roma.

Rob is naturally delighted, saying: “The book’s success is really amazing and for it to be now on sale in China is unbelievable.

“I’m proud of the book but I can’t claim all the credit. I realise it’s success is also because Jose is one of the most charismatic and controversial coaches in football and people are intrigued by him, want to know more about him.

“The other contributing factor is that he keeps moving jobs. I did an updated version when he joined Manchester United, another when he went to Tottenham and again when he joined Italy.

“It really is the gift that keeps on giving!”
