Springbourne Homes’ chairman Adrian Burr cracked open the champagne to celebrate with CEO Lee Harris after scooping one of the most prestigious prizes in UK Construction.
Springbourne picked up a silver award in the ‘Best Small Housebuilder’ category at the glittering What House? awards at the famous Grosvenor House hotel in Park Lane, London.
The awards are regarded as the UK building industry’s ‘Oscars’ and Springbourne’s stunning success was in recognition of its spectacular Hornsey Rise development of 19 luxury homes in Wellsborough, Leicestershire.
A delighted Adrian said: “It is a real honour to receive this recognition from What House? for our exceptional site at Hornsey Rise.
“Everyone at Springbourne Homes is delighted with the award which recognises the high standards we set ourselves and the top quality homes we deliver.
“Springbourne has won lots of awards since we were formed almost 30 years ago and I always take particular pride in those that are judged by our peers and colleagues within the construction industry.
“They’re experts who truly appreciate and fully understand great design, craftsmanship, cutting edge innovation and who know exactly what it takes to deliver homes of the highest quality, so thank you WhatHouse!”
It was the 42nd What House? Awards and the special guest was former Foreign Secretary and ex-Conservative Party leader William Hague, who presented Adrian and Lee with a stylish plaque to mark Springbourne’s achievement.
Springbourne Homes CEO Lee Harris added “Hornsey Rise provided a unique opportunity to design and deliver a luxurious development basking in open countryside.
“The dominant and imposing oak frames and natural stone features connect with the existing elements of the site including a converted former chapel and the three acre woodland.
“We are proud of our product, our team and our valuable supply chain.”
What House? Editorial Director Rupert Bates said: “This award for Springbourne Homes is a highly respected symbol of prestige and excellence.
“It gives them the ultimate sales and marketing edge over their competitors and re-assures buyers they are purchasing from one of Britain’s best housebuilders.
“Hornsey Rise itself is a development with a fascinating history and modern design and build story to tell.
“Springbourne itself calls the development its ‘finest site’ to date. You suspect there are more to come.”
The What House? award is the latest accolade for Hornsey Rise which has previously enjoyed national acclaim after winning three prestigious UK Property Awards including ‘Best in the UK for Architecture for a Multiple Residence development’ and ‘Best Residential Development in Leicestershire’.
The development was also recognised at the 2022 Property and Construction Awards in Leicestershire in the ‘Best Large Residential Development’ category..
