The 21 st century, eco-friendly, state-of-the-art home of Springbourne Homes chairman Adrian Burr has been featured in top UK newspaper The Sun. Sun reporter Alex Winter saw that Adrian’s home had gone up for sale and was quick to compare his £1.7m luxury house, which boasts a distinctive curved, grass roof, with the famous Tubbytronic Superdome home of children’s TV favourites The Teletubbies.
The fun article included images of the underground, grass covered, home of Tinky Winky, Dipsy, La La and Po alongside Adrian’s lookalike dwelling. Estate agents Strutt & Parker are marketing the property which was designed with the environment at the heart of the project, including solar panels, private water supply via a borehole, a bio-mass boiler with intelligent heating system control and living roof.
This bespoke eco-home is filled with high end additions, featuring two kitchens, floor-to- ceiling windows, a music room, gym and four large bedrooms, all with ensuites.
The luxury family home boasts 7,000 sq. foot of living and sits on 1.2 acres in a picturesque location in Shropshire. Amongst the grounds there is a private driveway, detached garage,
and professionally landscaped gardens.
Adrian is sad to be leaving, ‘Eh-oh’, but is promising a ‘Big Hug’ to anyone who wants to live ‘over the hills and far away’.
