A charity film, funded by Springbourne Homes, is up for a top award at a glittering occasion in London’s Leicester Square this month. The ‘We Will Grow’ film by the Bumba Foundation is a finalist in this year’s Charity Film Awards being held at the famous Odeon Luxe cinema in the Capital.
The movie showcases the work of the Foundation, a UK charity which is a pioneering project to provide life-changing opportunities for African children and young people in one of the most deprived parts of Uganda.
Springbourne Homes chairman Adrian Burr is thrilled by the news and said: “I’m delighted to hear that the film has been so well received and is in line for such a prestigious prize at the awards. The Bumba Foundation does amazing work and I’ve been so impressed with the people who run it that it’s very satisfying to see them receiving some deserved recognition.

The Foundation provides sustainable education opportunities for children, young people and communities in the East African nation. The charity has already successfully raised the funds to build and run two community primary schools and two vocational skills centres in the impoverished Budaka District in Eastern Uganda, helping and supporting around 1,500 young people and community members each year.
